In the third quarter of 2023, the Minas Gerais Sanitation Company (Copasa) released financial results,

signaling its growth and stability in the sanitation sector. Net revenue from water, sewage and solid waste reached R$1.62 billion, representing a notable increase of 17.7% compared to the same period of the previous year.

A key factor that contributed to this performance was the agreement reached in a Collective Labor Action, which had an extremely positive impact on the company's results . This translated into the reversal of operational and financial expenses, further strengthening Copasa's financial health.

Although costs and expenses increased by 12.6%, adjusted EBITDA for the third quarter reached R$638.9 million, with an adjusted margin of 38.5%. Furthermore, net profit for the period was R$437.1 million, marking an increase of 92.4% compared to the third quarter of 2022.

Copasa 's solid performance in the third quarter of 2023 could attract even more investors to the sanitation sector.
