Goldman Sachs faced a 33% drop in profit, hit by losses from selling parts of its business. In contrast, Bank of America reported a 10% increase in profit, driven by adjusted trading revenue and investment banking fees. JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup and Wells Fargo reported solid earnings but warned of uncertain times ahead.
